Over the past 25 years I have experimented with many different crafts from sewing to woodworking. About 8
years ago I began doing oil painting. I loved seeing how the canvas came alive.

My first experience with gourds was working with buffalo gourds found in the desert, than I cut for a friend and became
hooked immediately and couldn’t wait to find some large gourds to do for myself.

I use a variety of tools and material in cleaning and designing my gourds. I like experimenting with all types
of techniques. I use dyes, stains, paint, carve on the gourds, do inlays and wood burning. I also like finding
natural things to embellish the gourds along with using turquoise, beads, feathers, leather and other findings.
