"Ironic (clown)" Growing up i Idiscovered that a way to get free passes to go to the circus was by helping them set up. So every time a circus was in town, I will be there among some other kids hoping to be picked to help them set up. One day, after the show was over, I managed to sneak backstage; and there he was, the clown was removing his make up, I remember being shocked, he was not the handsomest guy on earth. After that event, I developed some sort of phobia to clowns and this was my way to get over it. The reason I called this shot "Ironic" is because a character that brings joy to kids, is deep down, underneath his makeup, very sad

Title: Bearellinas

"Bearellinas": The idea came out from the Disney movie Fantasia with its dancing hypos; I always wanted to re create it with some sort of duality, butch guys but at the same time soft, heavy set Vs. delicate. Biker guys Vs. Ballerinas.. Once I mentioned to one of the models and he said no way, but later he said ..."well if you ever find a Tutu that fits me I will do it", one night having dinner at the other guy's home this conversation came out and he said : "I happen to have two of them".. I wasnt brave enough to ask why he had two of them, but I managed to get some good use of them.

Title: Tarahumara Girl

"Tarahumara Girl": being from Chihuahua I've always been attracted to their culture, a very proud tribe formed by hard working citizens. Her eyes captured my attention and the fact that she was so little to be taking care of her baby sister. In their culture, girls help Mom to raise their younger siblings while boys help Dad with the labor around their house. Their childhood gets interrupted, all of the sudden they became moms and making it normal for them to later on have babies at early stages of their teen years.
