There is no Peace without Justice. PeaceAware Defense fund, monies to be used by any PeaceAware person who is arrested or detained for actions in opposition to the most dangerous regime ever to run thiis federal government. See Boje arrest by NMSU police. Legal costs are being incurred. Thanks for your help.

We have to get the word out about PeaceAware - $45 will pay for an ad in a local paper. We plan to run them frequently in papers such as bulleting, Roundup and Sun-News. Also, the Interfaith Search for Peace Retreat ads were as follows: The Bulletin ad was $108.79, the Sun-News cost $119.28, and the Round Up $40.50, totaling $268.57.

Sun-News $1,040.00 26 week option - The best deal they offer is to be in the High Profile section of the paper that goes out on Mondays....we could have a small 2" add weekly with (this is the good part) 3 larger profile stories with pictures! This would cost 50$ a week and would run for 26 weeks for $1,040.00. Check out the section and look at the space we could have for 3 times to tell our story! They bill monthly so the group could fundraise and do this.
Bulletin - 1 color (2 by 4 in) ad - $122 for four weeks. Two color ad Add $130. Full color, such as above is $450.
Bulletin - for $22 per month we can run a Service Directory ad such as " - PeaceAware.com A Southern New Mexico peace organization that promotes peaceful alternatives to local, national, and global conflicts 532-1794.
Roundup 2 by 4 one color ad is approximately $60.

Fund Raiser : Buy screen-size photos from "Peace in the Park" 15 Feb event. We offer 5 by 7 copies in return for a $15 contribution to PeaceAware or an 8 by 10 for a larger contribution ($25), which would cover cost of professional printing plus a donation to PeaceAware. The Movies for Peace program - has facility costs, flyer and other costs associated with the event. The program is managed by the Campus Voices for Peace group. They are currently $125 in the hole. They spent $30 to by the Sanctions Video, and $150 to pay rights to show two other movies. It costs $45 each time to pay cost of projectionist in Corbett Center. Please contribute..

BILLBOARD PROJECT -

- We would like to rent a billboard and put up a PeaceAware sign with a big message that reads something like "Support Our troops -- Bring Them How -." In April our billboard was at El Paso and Idaho in Las Cruces. If you would like to raise another $950 for to do one on another theme, let us know.

Walkers for Peace - and the H.O.P.E. (Helping Organize People Everywhere) project - Peace Walkers came through Las Cruces Mar 2003. The Peace Walkers are walking from Tucson to Washington, DC. We took up a collection to help with their food, lodging and escort vehicle costs. We are once again collecting to send support for Peace Walkers. For example, we have been contacted by New Mexico Tech and one faculty member from University of New Mexico to initiate an ALL NEW MEXICO event on Peace Aware.
