A Poem by T. Wark
For centuries, honorable
nations have comnducted diplomacy -- however intense
-- in diplomatic language. It's called
civility. It is a mark of civilization.
British Foreign Minister Jack Straw, the Bush
administration's point man in the United Nations
diplomacy about Iraq, violated every rule of
civility today in his face-to-face remarks in the
security council to the French representative.
Hence:
Our Honourable Ally!
Jack Straw, Jack Straw,
Stare him in the puss!
Jack Straw, Jack Straw,
Tell him he's a wuss!
Creeminy an' Criminey,
Ain't it elevating.
USA and Blair's UK
Pissing in the grating.
What else ya got,
Jack Straw, Jack Straw?
Got a finger, got a sneer,
Got a snigger in y'r craw?
Dominique is lucid,
Dominique is clear,
Does your defamation
Suggest that he is queer?
That's beneath contempt,
Man, in the lexicon of state
When nations are debating
All of mankind's fate.
