The breaking news: On Friday Mar 19 NMSU Provost Jay Jordan agreed to attend the FORUM and to allow AAUP CPA and expert Howard Bunsis to receive a copy of the budget notebook in order to facilitate an independent analysis. We are thankful to Provost Jordan and looking forward to positive conversation and dialogue on good options for this financial situation.
On Wednesday March 30th, NMSU President Barbara Couture reaffirmed Provost Jay Jordan will be at the NMSU-AAUP & ASNMSU co-sponsored FORUM: NMSU's Financial Health 2010 & Beyond. And President Couture gave the 222 page budget notebook for NMSU to Professor David Boje (Chair, NMSU AAUP) to be copied, and sent to Professor Howard Bunsis, a CPA and institutional Finance expert, who on April 9th will give two keynote FORUM sessions.
